Birth is a significant experience in a family’s life, and having solid support can make a meaningful difference.
Our Oregon birth doulas offer individualized support and experienced care so you can navigate pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period feeling informed and supported.
Imagine having a PNW Doula by your side:
Start With a Conversation The right support starts with a conversation, which is why we begin with a complimentary consultation. We take time to listen, learn what matters most to you, and match you with the doula whose experience and style best fit your family.
When You Choose Our Team. Preparation begins well before labor. During prenatal visits, you and your doula will talk through your birth preferences, practice comfort techniques, and get ready for labor together.
By the time your baby’s birthday arrives, you and your partner will feel supported by a doula who understands your goals.
Your Doula Is Ready When You Call. You can expect steady encouragement, practical guidance, and experienced care to help you stay focused and grounded as labor unfolds. Your partner is included along the way, helping both of you feel confident and stay connected as you welcome your baby.
While You’re Settling In With Your Baby. Postpartum visits continue that support as you adjust to life with your baby. Your doula helps with newborn care, feeding, and the physical and emotional changes that come after birth, while connecting you with trusted resources and referrals when additional support is needed.
What does a PNW birth doula do during labor?
After your free consultation, you will meet with the doula you’ve been matched with to make sure she is the right fit for your family.
Once you move forward together, you’ll meet twice during pregnancy to discuss your birth goals, practice comfort measures and positions, and build a trusting relationship.
When labor begins, you contact your doula and she joins you when you decide you would like support. She remains with you throughout labor and for 1–2 hours after your baby arrives.
Your doula also visits twice after the birth to check in, offer feeding support, provide referrals if needed, and talk through your birth experience.
Our doulas have supported many kinds of births, including medicated births, unmedicated births, inductions, cesarean births, VBAC, multiples, single parents, and high-risk pregnancies.
Every birth is unique. Our role is to support you through yours.
